The Challenge Has Begun - Good Luck to Our Trainers and Their Brumbies
Hayley is a 23 year old farrier and trainer from Myrtleford Victoria.
She competes in Stockmens Challenges and in her spare time tries to save, train and rehome as many Brumbies as possible.
She wishes that everyone could see how amazing these Brumbies turn out so that a few more could end up with great homes.
When working with an unhandled horse, Hayley's first goal is to gain their trust and to continue to strengthen that trust throughout the entire training process. ensuring the horse ends up willing to tackle any task asked. Plenty of solid ground work establishes body control enabling a smooth transition to rides in the bush enabling the horse to move freely. This, along with some obstacle work and little challenges to educate the horse ensures the horse is well prepared to head out and about in the real world.
VBA Dallas is a flaxen chestnut mare with a big blaze. She was caught from Kosciusko National Park in New South Wales in July 2017.
She was pregnant when she was captured and had her colt foal, VBA Cuinn out in one of our larger paddocks with her family group.
Once Cuinn had been weaned, Dallas went back to the paddock to grow and get strong.
